Maine People’s Alliance Floods Resources Into Town Council Election
Conservative Candidate Crushed At The Polls By Weight Of Their Dark Money
Patterned off of my grandfather James McBreairty’s signs, who was a state of Maine senator for Aroostook County.
11/9/23
Hampden, ME - For what I am told is the first time in Maine history, the far-left political organization the Maine People’s Alliance (MPA), put a full time staffer on a District 1, Hampden, ME, Town Council seat that was up for grabs to ensure a conservative (me) didn’t get elected. This was allegedly their first foray into involvement in a local, municipal election. Based on their size and dark money financial capacity, I believe this is just the beginning of the end of local elections if conservatives don’t learn to counterpunch quickly and find some huge funding sources.
The MPA is part of a massive spider web of far-left political activists and communists running amok in Maine. Mostly staffed by liberal lunatics. They chose to point resources directly into Hampden, ME a town of roughly 8,000 residents. A nice little bedroom community right next to Bangor, ME, nestled in the heart of the state. The perception is that the town balances on the razor’s edge of roughly 50/50 liberal to conservative. But we have seen the local school board and town council taken over by liberal candidates these last few years.
Hampden, ME, has listed on paper more republican voters (2,455, or 37%) than democrats (1913, or 29%) whose numbers are increasing with unenrolled voters (1902, or 29%) a pretty large number. There are also 242 registered green party voters, 26 no labels voters and 25 libertarian voters registered in town, making up the remaining 5%.
For the purposes of my district, the key indicators were 428 registered democrats, 415 registered republicans and 338 unregistered voters. I’m starting to wonder if “unenrolled” just means, “stealth democrat” most of the time? Or, maybe these are some of the “anti-Trumper” crowd? But, in theory, if all the republicans, or let's just say if all the conservatives registered to vote showed up to vote, it could have been a winnable district. We need to crack the code to get them to show up in force.
My hometown now feels to me like it is completely lost, based on this new tactic by the MPA and recent voting trends. It is going to get a hell of a lot worse here and maybe then, some other conservatives will step forward to fight for change. But, it just doesn’t appear to be bad enough for them yet. Bad enough for their family. Just wait. I’ll hate to be the guy telling you, “I told you so.”
A chart provided by a confidential informant to illustrate where the far left “dark money” flows and how the Maine People’s Alliance fits in.
A major part of this complex network of far-left organizations is the MPA, a 501(c)(4) organization which has been instrumental in orchestrating various Ballot Question Committees (BQC) and local referendums to address state and local issues by the use of various shell non-profits. The MPA is a coalition comprising a range of unions from both the public and private sectors, environmentally progressive organizations and social justice factions.
Mostly located in southern Maine, with tentacles in Portland, Bangor and Lewiston areas, the MPA is utilized as a channel to coordinate and disburse significant amounts of untraceable funding for political motives, masquerading as grassroots and locally-driven efforts. Primarily funded by far-left special interest groups.
The MPA which is inside a spider’s web of millions of dollars of dark money, pushed by the Arbella Advisors that overlaps with far-left billionaire George Soros backed activist groups, along with the radical Bill and Linda Gates, along with Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss.
The MPA in 2022 had revenue from contributions and grants totalling over $4 million dollars. They had total assets over $2.6 million dollars. They had $1.2 million dollars in salary and wages. This isn’t a small outfit for Maine, which in the political landscape of our nation is a “cheap date.” The MPA is a big “dark money” influence group. Silly me, I thought that handshakes still mattered.
I’m honored that they spent some of their resources on little ol’ me.
Between the MPA now hunting to fill local town council seats and the Democratic Socialists of America wanting to “break” Maine parents through their placement of socialist school board members, you better buckle up parents and taxpayers. It is going to get way worse. Please don’t think the Maine GOP is going to save you. The Maine GOP are the captains on a rudderless ship, with no course plotted and no wind to power their sails. We will have more scorched earth comments on that feckless group in a later article. They do just enough to feel relevant to themselves.
The MPA spreads this money out far and wide to as many far-left political themes as they can and they are honestly doing a great job at it. The conservatives have really nothing to compare to this machine completely engineered for pure evil. The MPA are essentially all American-Communists, looking to take down everything in their path. It’s the destruction of our state right before our very eyes.
What does the Maine People’s Alliance stand for? No good:
Advancing racial justice (because they are racists)
(Illegal) immigration rights
(Fake) climate and energy reform
Increased vaccine awareness (they are on the take from Big Pharma)
Paid family and medical leave (you are paying for it by the way)
Grassroots organizing and education in schools (aka grooming)
Social welfare (you pay for them to not work)
Who are just some of the far-left organizations connected with the MPA?:
(In)Equality Maine
(Illegal) Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project
NAACP Portland Branch (of Racists)
Maine Equal Justice Partners (but only if your skin color isn’t white)
Family Planning (Baby Murderers) Association of Maine
Planned Parenthood (also Baby Murderers) of Northern New England
Maine (Indoctrination) Education Association (Teachers Union Thugs)
The MPA also has close connections at Democracy Alliance, which is now run by Board Chair John C. Stocks. He has been honored by far-left groups like the progressive America Votes and the Ballot Initiative Strategy Center. He’s also the Senior Advisor to the National Education Association, the nation’s largest union. The Maine Education Association (MEA) is the Maine offshoot of the NEA. You know, the teachers union which has brought you the lowest academic assessments in our State of Maine’s history. Starting to see the connection now? It’s all connected.
The MPA is also intertwined with the MEA on its own as they also want to push trans-cultism and far-left political values to your little students, using your tax dollars. The MEA uses terms like “cisgender, gender binary, gender non-conforming and heteronormative,” in their source document.
The MEA partners with the groomers at GLSEN, who sponsor the Gay Sexuality Alliances inside your local schools (more on this in a bit) and the Civil Rights Teams which work on constant division in the classroom. They teach your children as early as five years old that they are racists because of their skin color. The MEA and the local affiliates in each Maine town, push 99.9% of their financial support into far-left political candidates, like Chris McLaughlin in Hermon, ME.
He’s a social worker who’s favorite book is the kiddie porn classic, “Gender Queer.” He wants to keep secrets from parents and discuss more “taboo” subjects with your minor child behind closed doors. He also is the impetus to a lawsuit in which he appears to have been discriminatory to a Christian church wanting to use the local school for Sunday service, asking them about their stance on abortion, LGBTQ trans-cultism, minor mutilation and other items. He’s one of the worst. Chris McLaughlin, of Hermon, ME, is the poster child of who the MEA pushes.
Julie Kohler former Democracy Alliance Senior Vice President cited MPA in a working document in 2016 about “2020 Investment Portfolio Progress & Updates.” Our horrible Congresswoman Chellie (or “Charlene,” as stated recently by the demented Joe Biden) Pingree’s husband, Donald Sussman, was part of the 2014 Democracy Alliance meeting where they crafted dark money spending to organizations like the MPA.
As stated by “Influence Watch,” Julie Kohler is the woman who once criticized other white women for tending to support republican candidates, based on “structural pulls, including white women’s economic dependence on and personal relationships with, white men.” Those darn white women, being pulled toward white men. Sounds like Ms. Kohler is a itsy, bitsy racist?
Julie Kohler goes on with more crazy-pants ideas stating that, “white women have long supported and strengthened white supremacy.” She also states that white women obsess over helping others and they naturally want to help white men, so they tend to vote republican. She goes full blown insanity by stating that “hostile sexism,” in the republican party might drive more white women to the democrats.
The file continues to show just how radical and anti-American Julie Kohler and the Democracy Alliance really is. She sits “on the advisory board of Family Story, a think tank that works to address and dismantle family privilege in America.” In The Nation, Kohler and Family Story executive director Nicole Sussner Rodgers described “marriage culture” as a set of cultural norms idealizing traditional heterosexual marriage promoted by American conservatives. Marriage culture supposedly “uses barely coded racism, shaming, and stigma to coerce low-income couples into marriage under the veneer of reducing poverty and improving outcomes for children.”
Woke white women are the bane of our existence here in Maine.
Speaking of which, you may remember ex-Hermon, ME, High School English Teacher and MEA teachers’ union head, Mallory Cook? She was the paid faculty advisor to the after school, extra-curricular club called the Gay Sexuality Alliance. This “student led” club is funded nationally by GLSEN in over 4,000 schools in 40 states. You could send your child to soccer, band, chorus, or a “sexuality” club after school in which no parents, or taxpayers were aware of it even existing. Mallory Cook broke all kinds of policies. Well, allegedly.
I have to say “allegedly” because Hermon School Department is suing me for exposing all this because they hate it when they are exposed. They hate the First Amendment, they hate parents. They hate students. They really hate the Truth.
Mallory Cook, performing an anti-Trump video from the taxpayer paid classroom on 10/21/20.
Ms. Cook also performed with the MPA on October 21st, 2020 from the Hermon High School classroom that she was allowed to indoctrinate…errrr, teach in, using taxpayer resources to participate in an anti-Trump, pro-Biden political video with far-left multi-millionaire and alleged socialist, Bernie Sanders.
Yes, you read that correctly, Ms. Cook broke several policies by bringing her far-left politics literally into the classroom. But, because she’s a member of the current ruling class, she was not held accountable for any of it.
Ms. Cook, with the help of two woke librarians and a $1,000 grant from the MEA teachers union, also created a 40 book transgender library display, showing 63 “genders.” This display was seen by 13 year old minor children inside the Hermon High School. But, I digress…
When I announced I was running, it sent a ripple of fear into these far-left crazies and they responded. John Swalec, a democrat and my neighbor who won this race, hasn’t spoken to me for over two years. He announced he was running a few days after I did. We were cordial to each other when I first moved back to my hometown three years ago. We had a “meeting of the lawnmowers” one afternoon and this was during the ongoing Covid political theater.
He asked me, “Shawn, when are you getting your Covid shots?” I looked him right in the eye and said, “Doc, that’s my business and now that I think of it…probably never.” Because he’s a doctor, who profits off of the Big Pharma push, someone who wanted to ensure those useless masks were worn and schools were shut down, he took issue with my statement. Issue with my body sovereignty.
You could see in that very moment the gears in his brain grinding to a halt. The steam may have actually come out from his ears. He hasn’t spoken to me since. He doesn’t even have the guts anymore to look over at me while he’s mowing. But, he’s allegedly now going to listen to his local D1 constituents? Fat chance.
I can’t go back and change anything in this loss to my liberal neighbor and Covidian. But, I wouldn’t change a thing. I walked my entire district. Every last road. In the last three days Saturday, Sunday and Monday leading up to voting day, I racked up 21 miles on the ground. I shook a lot of hands and got to meet some amazing people in my local area.
But, I got murdered in the polls, losing 81 write-in votes to 210 and my opponent never came out of his basement. He didn’t have to, with the dark money machine of the Maine People’s Alliance and the Penobscot County Democratic Committee putting agents in the field. His other rich, liberal elite medical buddies also created a “FAM Political Action Committee” to send mailers out to all the families in our district ahead of Tuesday voting day. These were all tactical advantages that I didn’t have the time, financing, or insight to do on my own. So, me being a guy who mostly survives on his crafty wit and handsome appearance, I really never had a chance.
To give you a bit of perspective, historically a vacant seat without a person on the ballot only needed a few dozen write-in votes to win here in this town. This year, the write in for the local water district won by simply getting 4 write-in votes. Four. Quatro. The guy who won didn’t even want to do it, so the Town Clerk is going to the guy who got three votes to ask him if he wants the job.
Neighbor John Swalec not only had the MPA in his pocket, but a PAC formed by the AFL-CIO, aka the union thugs to mail this out to every D1 family.
The FAM Political Action Committee, aka the Eastern Maine Labor Council, aka the AFL-CIO in Maine. They stand for the destruction of local businesses through introduction of unnecessary unions, they also advocate for social and economic justice and are representatives of Resident Biden, the leader of our worst economy in 40 years.
Their slogan is “Solidarity” and you may remember this word used by Karl Marx, the father of Marxism. Solidarity is often used in unison with socialism, communism and anarchism. It’s also the same raised fist (raise right fist) symbol used by domestic terrorist organization, Black Lives Matter. It was all too much to overcome.
It may have been a sign from above to keep on keepin’ on. This position would have pulled me away from helping students, parents, taxpayers and teachers who feel they don’t yet have a voice when it comes to Maine’s horrific K-12 educational issues. It probably would have taken 15-20 hours out of my availability per month. Given the diligence that I put into becoming a subject matter expert on things and my willingness to listen to people and solve for the root cause of the problem, probably more time than that.
There were several more positives that came out of this experience. Many people I spoke with are now more strongly considering the Truth that I bring to them everyday. This was because they were able to see the conviction in my eyes and hear the sincerity from my heart.
Several people I had discussions with are going to make the decision to pull their children out of these local K-12 public indoctrination centers for homeschooling. That alone is a big win if just one child actually gets an education from all this and doesn’t get brainwashed, or sexually transitioned, my job is done here.
Don’t get me wrong, I would have loved to have won. But, a last minute write-in campaign done by essentially one person, proved to be simply insurmountable. I had a lot of moral support, but it wasn’t an organized machine and it apparently takes a machine here now to get elected. Maybe a steam roller.
I even had the local fake republicans puckered up, as provided by ex-Mayor of Hampden, Eric Jarvi who appears to have caused election interference and ethics violations as a sitting member of the Hampden Town Council. When I have the far-left and the RINO-right both freaking out, I know I’m directly over the target. (RINO = Republican In Name Only, aka a “swamp critter.”)
You see, someone like Eric Jarvi doesn’t really want to work too hard. He’s a pharmacist and a liberal elite. He just likes the status and thinks that people admire his role, but in reality, he’s no more than a speed bump for progress. A useful idiot. A weak male.
For those of you who think conservatives can win on a handshake and a smile, those days appear to be over, at least here in Maine. Based on watching some of the local elections these last few years, maybe it’s been over for a while. Without some massive funding and incredible organization, I can confidently tell you that at least here in my hometown of Hampden, Maine, it appears all is lost.
The State of Maine has been lost for the last several years.
Things are cyclical and maybe it just hasn’t gotten bad enough for your family yet. Bad enough for you to pick your head up and realize what is happening to a once great little town? I can tell you, some of the families I visited on Main Road North need to catch a break. There are some massive hardships going on here, as not all the neighbors of Hampden, ME, are living the good life. Struggling families were amazed that someone took the time to knock on their door, look them in the eye and shake their hand. But, it wasn’t enough.
The only advice I can give is for those of you who say “you are not political,” or those of you who “hate controversy,” you have to pull up your big boy drawers. Believe me, the democrats are already planning for the next election. It is time to get involved because it is only going to get worse for all of us here in our beautiful state of Maine. It will be worse for your children and your grandchildren. We are living in the age of controversial politics. Good versus evil. If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.
In the words of President Trump’s former Press Secretary Keyleigh McEnany, “I can only explain it to you. I can’t understand it for you.”
Start by going to a local school board, or town council meeting. Maybe organize a group of like minded people to form a discussion group, or online chat group. Start to fundraise from those who still care. Share this article with local people, as this story could be any small town in America. Heck, just get out and actually talk to your neighbors please.
Wednesday I sent a “Congrats” text to John Swalec and stopped over that evening to offer my congratulations on his win. Neither the text, nor the door was answered. There were four cars in the driveway and all the lights were on inside. Maybe no one was home.
